Founder story

Afrihouse Bags was founded by a passionate entrepreneur who grew up in Kampala,

Uganda. An ACCA graduate, she initially pursued a corporate career, but her

creative spirit and love for design led her to make a bold decision to follow her

dreams. She moved to India to turn her sketches and inspirations into a reality,

launching a unique bag brand that blends indigenous African aesthetics, unique

geometric prints with proud Indian craftsmanship. The brand is currently based in

Thane, Mumbai. Her journey is a testament to the power of following one’s passions

and creating meaningful, stylish accessories inspired by her Indian roots and the

beautiful culture she got the privilege to grow up in Africa.

The founder of Afrihouse Bags believes that everyone should own a bag from their

collection because each bag is more than just an accessory — it's a piece of art that

tells a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and individuality. She wants her bags to

inspire confidence, celebrate diversity, and bring a touch of unique inspired elegance

to everyday life. Daily tote bags can be unique and with amazing designs, not just

the usual or even if in foam it can be very unique colours!

Her mission is to continue making beautifully crafted, meaningful bags accessible to

everyone, so that more people can carry something unique wherever they go, gift to

loved ones, whether to office or weekends parties.
